Tyn yr Helyg is a long established Soil Association certified organic small holding in West Wales.
We grow seasonal staples, especially salads and leafy vegetables, soft fruit and herbs. In autumn we make apple juice and cider, jams and chutneys. We grow nearly everything outdoors, so availability is decidedly seasonal.
We keep a flock of Shetland and Balwen Welsh Mountain sheep, and since 2023 we produce and sell Aran wool and core-spun yarn.
The farm is also managed for wildlife and biodiversity, in 2017 with the support of the Glastir Farm Woodland Creation Scheme we planted three hectares of fledgling woodland.
